GROUP TRAINING CLASSES Mid-Atlantic Multisport's group training classes offer hands-on instruction and structured training opportunities in an environment which is both inspiring and non-intimidating. Whether you are a beginner, weekend warrior or seasoned pro, Mid-Atlantic Multisport's group training classes will help you become a stronger and more efficient athlete.
WINTER 2010 CLASSES
TRIATHLON SWIMMING
Perfect for beginner and intermediate triathletes looking to develop greater confidence and efficiency in the water. An on-deck Mid-Atlantic Multisport coach leads weekly workout sessions which include freestyle technique instruction and drill work, open water skills practice (sighting, drafting, mass starts, etc.) and structured interval sets.
Dates:
Weekday Class: Wednesday 9:30-10:30am (Jan 6-Feb 24)
Weeknight Class: Thursday 7:00-8:00pm (Jan 7-Feb 25)
Cost: $250.00 ($175.00 for Upper Main Line YMCA members).
TRIATHLON 101 - BEGINNER CLASS
This program is specifically designed for athletes with three or fewer years of experience in the sport of triathlon. The class provides a comprehensive introduction to the sport in a relaxed, supportive, non-intimidating environment. Weekly coached workouts rotate between swimming, biking and running, all designed to improve your technique, aerobic endurance and speed. Additional topics covered in this class include transition practice, proper nutrition and race-day strategies.
Dates:
Sunday 8:30-10:00am (Jan 10-Feb 28)
Cost: $295.00 ($225.00 for Upper Main Line YMCA members).
LADIES NIGHT: INDOOR CYCLING
This indoor cycling class is designed for females of all levels looking to build a strong foundation for the 2010 triathlon season. The focus of the class is on developing proper riding technique, increasing your body’s ability to burn fat for energy and building aerobic endurance. Class includes testing to determine each participant’s proper training zones.

Monday 7:45-8:45 pm (Jan 4-Feb 22)
Cost: $150.00 ($100.00 for Upper Main Line YMCA members).
