“I started working with Bill Hauser, of Mid-Atlantic Multisport, in April 2014 to prepare for Age Group Nationals in August. With Bill’s training plan and guidance, I participated in 3 Sprint Triathlons, and 2 Olympic Triathlons. I placed in the top three, in my age group, for all three Sprints, and achieved a Personal Best in the Outer Banks Olympic distance to end my season. I ended up not competing in Nationals due to some health issues and injuries, but had an amazing season and qualified for Nationals in 2015 with Bill’s help. Bill’s knowledge is superior to other coaches. He listens to your needs and tailors your workouts accordingly. He knew how to motivate me to push myself to be successful, but to adjust for my injuries. I look forward to working with Bill again, and I would highly recommend Mid-Atlantic Multisport for any triathlete looking to better their performance.”
"When I hired Mid-Atlantic Multisport, I wasn't able to even run around the block and hadn’t swam or biked in more than 10 years. Bill worked with me to develop a training plan that fit my abilities, my work schedule and my individual obligations. He is always available to answer questions or help address any concerns (i.e. pre-race jitters!). His knowledge and experience is vast and helped me complete and succeed in my first triathlon. I was able to exceed my own expectations and become an Ironman three years later and I owe it all to Mid-Atlantic Multisport!”
“Stephen and I very much appreciated your support at the Ironman Arizona race. I know that for Stephen, it was tremendously helpful to have the support of his family and you at the event. He is still on a cloud; thrilled by the magnitude of the accomplishment. While I have read many articles about the strain of IM training on relationships, I must say that watching Stephen train only deepened my respect for him and his dedication to accomplishing a chosen goal. The workouts on "post-call" days and the sessions after long work days all got done and always to the best of his ability. It was no surprise to me that he finished on the schedule he set before the event. Last Sunday was the reward for all the lonely days spent training. We also know that the key to his success was your guidance and training schedule. We both know that if we do all "our homework for Bill" then we will be ready on race day. Thanks again and I enjoyed and appreciated your company on race day.”
"I initially enlisted Mid-Atlantic Multisport to help me prepare for my second marathon. After training with Mid-Atlantic Multisport for 5 months, I was able to cut more than an hour off my previous marathon time. Under Bill Hauser’s excellent guidance I have become a better runner and also transitioned into triathlon training. I could not be more pleased with the coaching services I have received from Mid-Atlantic Multisport!”
"I wanted to drop you a quick note and thank you again for all the help and support in getting me ready for Ironman Arizona. The plan you had me on had me dialed right in physically, and the pre-race prep call had me going into the event with the right mind set. The event/experience totally exceeded my expectations and I appreciate the work you did in helping to make it a great day!”
“Thanks a bunch Bill! You got me through the XTERRA World Championship. I know and realize that 7 months was not very much prep time for us. You are a wonderful coach and I am so happy for all your expert training and wisdom.”
“I started training with Bill a few months prior to Ironman Lake Placid several years ago. Without his coaching and guidance I wouldn’t have completed that race and another 10 afterwards. When recovering from injuries he taught me patience which allowed me to heal properly and move on to the next race. I appreciate the thoughtfulness in every training schedule I received. Words can’t begin to express my gratitude to Bill in assisting me in reaching my goals.”
“Thank you for all you did to get me across the finish line at Ironman Florida. Without your guidance and expertise, I never would have made it. Thank you for being patient and making me be patient as well. Your coaching has been invaluable.”
"I'd been trying to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii for 6 years. After training with Mid-Atlantic Multisport for only 7 months, I qualified for this event. I made it to Hawaii and owe it all to Mid-Atlantic Multisport!”
“In the summer of 2011, I signed up for Ironman Lake Placid 2012. In October, I sprained a ligament in my thumb and had to wear a brace to keep it immobilized for almost three months. I let that injury become an excuse and pretty much stopped all training. By late winter, I had fallen so far behind, I figured there was no chance I could be ready for a 140.6 by July. But near the end of February, I was introduced to Bill Hauser. He said it certainly wasn't ideal, but we could do it. I signed up for the Performance Individualized Coaching plan. We set a realistic goal of 14-hours.
On July 22nd, 2012, I became an Ironman, crossing the finish line on the Lake Placid speed skating oval in 13:53. I don't recommend doing a couch-to-Ironman, but that's pretty much what Coach Hauser and I pulled off in just five-months. I've been a swimmer and runner for much of my life, but with Coach Hauser's help, I learned so much about training -- especially things I had been doing wrong for many years.
And, while he was great with the physical training, his experience was an even bigger help for me on the mental side. The week before, Coach Hauser took me step-by-step through what to expect. About 30 miles into the bike leg, I realized everything was going exactly as he said it would. I'll never forget that feeling. Even though I still had over 100 miles to go in the race, the recognition that I was well-prepared allowed me to relax and enjoy the day. Now I'm back, working on a more traditional time frame with Coach Hauser preparing for Ironman Maryland.”
“The coaching has been outstanding. It’s been very valuable to me. Bill’s been available both through phone and by email to answer any questions that I have about my training and about what I’m doing and about why I’m doing it. He has also helped me out with the mental aspect of triathlon preparation. Not just the workouts but getting my mind straight for what I’m about to do and the fact that I will be able to meet my goals.”
“I’ve been working with Bill for about 6 months now and the instruction is great. It’s exactly what I needed and everything he has done for me so far has been a marked improvement from what I was trying to do on my own.”
I have not had any injuries, I am always given encouragement and I cannot say enough how important Bill has been in helping me keep on keeping on at age 71. He asked me what my goal was when we first started working together 3 years ago and I said I want to be doing this when I am 95. I’m on my way!
